Benefits of Steam

We use a completely self-contained chewing gum removal system. When we simply inject an environmentally friendly cleaning agent into our distinctive machine and combine it with the power of steam (reaching the soaring temperatures of 180°C), it helps the Astound Operators break down the chewing gum and when the steam and cleaning agent is released at the head of the cleaning wand it leaves little or no trace of the chewing gum ever being there.

This is because of the minimal level of energy it actually uses to perform the task it’s used for, using approximately two litres of water per hour.

This system ensures we are able to effectively remove the chewing gum leaving only a damp surface with literally no mess. The environmental impact stays minimal with the use of environmentally friendly chemicals and our commitment to being a carbon neutral company.

Vehicle tracking - providing peace of mind and cleaning consistency

All of our vehicles use GPS tracking technology, synchronised with Google
Maps and our management system. This provides our HQ an instant
view of where our vehicles are and how long they are with you. When you
become a customer we load your location and cleaning time required in to
the system so that we can make sure you get a complete clean.

We’ll automatically email you 24hrs prior to your cleaning visit with the operator name and vehicle registration number.

CRB checked

We ensure that all our staff have an up to date CRB check. The Criminal
Records Bureau (CRB), provides access to criminal record and other
relevant information to organisations in England and Wales helping
organisations make more informed decisions when recruiting people
to work with children and the vulnerable. We find that our public sector
customers value this aspect of Astound considerably.

Per Square Metre Billing

Our simple pricing plan is easy to follow as we have three different stages for the intensity of removal that needs to take place; light, medium and heavy soiling. After we have established the severity of your chewing gum problem we then apply our simple per metre pricing. We do our utmost to provide you with a same day, competitive quote on the clean you require.

Quality Control Inspections

Our independent Quality Control Manager will come and make sure the clean that Astound has provided you, has been completed to a high standard. Should anything be highlighted in the inspection a comprehensive report will be issued with instruction on any improvements or alterations that need to be amended. We provide this service free of charge to you as we strive to meet the best in your expectations of customer service and satisfaction.

No Cash Handling

As a purely professional company that honours its commitments to the
government and the charities it works with, we do not accept cash and
provide a VAT invoice for all works carried out. All payments must be
received by Standing Order or BACS.
